Glider rockers or just rockers are an important part of rearing baby. You rock them so much it’s important to buy something you really like. We must have rocked our babies thousands of miles and we loved every minute of it and you will too.

There are differences in a glider and a regular baby rocker. A glider rocks by sliding back and forth, and some even swivel. And a rocking chair rocks back and forth in an arc.

We personally love rocking chairs and we think babies love them too. The rocking motion is very soothing to you and the baby. It puts the baby to sleep and you too if you’re not careful. You don’t want to go to sleep while you’re rocking!

For comfort it is a good idea to buy rocking chair pads for the seat and the back. If a baby rocker is well made it will be around for many, many years. Just think of how many antique ones are still in existence.

• You can find good quality in a medium priced chair that is made of good hardwood
• There are plenty of styles of both kinds of chairs. You can find something you’ll be happy with
• Make sure upholstery doesn’t show dirt easily
• If ordering on the internet give yourself enough time for delivery
• Before you buy test the chair to make sure it suits you. It should be large enough to be comfortable

Glider rockers can be found at a good price. Just shop around on the internet and also in the stores around you like Walmart, Sears, Target, Penney’s and others.
